Paul Andrés Jiménez, a PhD student from Ecuador, specialises in soil and landscape conservation, restoration and monitoring. His research examines how agricultural technologies can improve soil management and help sustain healthy, productive landscapes.

A member of the 2025–2027 cohort of the IPCC Scholarship Programme, he receives financial support from the Cuomo Foundation to complete his doctoral thesis.

The Cuomo Foundation has supported the IPCC Scholarship Programme since 2013.
